Privacy notice
This site belongs to Ricardo Valero, a freediving instructor in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur. Here is what is collected and what it is used for, with no fine print.
What this site collects
There are no forms here: no name, email or phone is asked for. The only thing collected is browsing information through the Meta pixel, which records which pages are visited and which buttons are tapped, with an identifier for your browser.
That serves two purposes: knowing whether the ads bring people who are genuinely interested, and showing ads again to someone who already visited. It is not used for anything else.
When you write by WhatsApp or email
There your details do stay: your number or your email and whatever you write. They are used to answer you, organise your course and let you know about dates. They are not sold and not shared with anyone.
If you take a course, the name, date of birth and email needed to issue your certification are sent to AIDA International, and the medical form and liability release you sign are kept. That is what the standard requires.
Photographs
Photos are taken underwater during courses and handed to each student. If one is going to be published on the site or on social media, permission is asked for first. You can say no and nothing happens.
Turning off tracking
You can block this site's cookies from your browser, or adjust which ads you see from your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
Your rights
You can ask what data of yours is held, have it corrected or have it deleted. Write to ricardo.valerog@gmail.com and it is resolved within a few days.
